OK, that said, as long as you're not moving pieces around anywhere except in your head, I'm sure most would agree it's OK. But technically according to the rules, it's not. Sorry to be a killjoy...
Right so it is completley against the rules to use a board whilst playing an onlinegame, in the way of moving pieces that are not made on the online game. Yet you wouldnt say it is cheating if i clicked on a pieve , held it, and hovered it where i wanted to move on the live board.. so what is the difference? First off, this is live chess whith mainly untitled players. So it reallly isnt cheating if it is used as a learning tool. If using a physical board alongsidde a live game is cheating, then using computer anaylisis is agianst the rules because that is outside assitance that can be used in later games. In the end, it doesnt matter. if you want to help yourself out then use a board. It isn't cheating, as long as the board is bought from the chess.com store link lol.

I think we all know what cheating is and we also know plenty of it goes on here I feel sometimes the online experience is not a very happy one ,all I have is me and my mouse but yeah get the vibe so often the odds we're stacked against me due to an unfair advantage,for sure there is always stronger players but dont you ever get that vibe that something was'nt right?
I don't get the feeling that something isn't right... I know it.
Fortunately I know exactly what isn't right... I'm not good enough at Chess!
Every game I lose has the potential to help me get better. :)

I just checked bord in my fictionary. Unsuccessful.
Noone would know, ever. Plus it wouldn't matter anyway, as you would only lose time if you move the pieces too much

If you're doing live analysis on the board, it's cheating, period.
