if you hate your life then well thats an outside chess problem but if life hates you then well that makes kind of no sence
In this situation, you must destroy other pieces of your opponent(those 2 pawns) if you feel you are running out of time....so that you'l atleast get a Draw(Timeout vs Insufficient material)
It's just my opinion, don't know if it's the correct way

Yours is better than my situation.
I once lost to a 740 rated guy last year (or earlier this year) just because my internet failed at the very last moment - I still had 6 seconds to launch the checkmating move and I moved my piece to the square, but this did not get registered. I valiantly fought to restore the connection within the 6 seconds, but failed.
It left the opponent smiling with free 16 rating points for grabs.

I doubt it's a good idea, especially if the OP is confident of launching the checkmate.
The OP is probably unfortunate to drop the final piece at 0:00.0 instead of 0:00.1.

I see what you mean but in this case as you can see on move 63 I promoted my pawn to queen and on move 64 it was a checkmate (which was not considered because I ran out of time). So basically I can't make a move whether it's capturing any piece or checkmating your opponent's king.

No no....your game is an exceptional case, I just told generally, like a game where you have a rook/Queen and a king, and the opponent has king and some pawns....and you have some 4-5 secs remaining
I have did this in 2-3 of my games and escaped from losing, so I told..
