Ivanov guilty of winning?

I've read many articles on this guy, Ivanov, which has been allegedly accused of cheating, because he beat GMs and IMs.

Up to now they didn't find any evidence or tool he used, and if it would go to trial, he could win and sue for all the abuse he had to submit himself too.

All the evidence is statistical and circumstantial. Yes, if someone touch my chest they will find a strange protuberance, but I would be accused of cheating only if I win GMs and IMs. I don't play with them, so I'm safe!

So the lesson is: beware, if you find a way to replicate a computer way of playing, and you don't share it with the professionals, they will ban you for beating them!

Scottrf

There is no way to replicate a computer way of playing without using a computer.

andrea666

Right. It is like do math without a calculator, impossible!

waffllemaster

Over the last 20 years, hundreds (thousands?) of up and coming players beat IMs and GMs every day, in every tournament and no one cares.  Once you understand the difference with Ivanov you can understand why they call him a cheater.

Here's a hint, no one cares that he wins.  Scottrf gave you another hint.  Good luck on figuring it out.

There's already a thread on this matter. You should probably go read it.

You only have to look at their comments on tactics trainer to realise that Arsenico and andrea are just trolls anyway.

Whoever disagree with Scottrf, or has a better performance on Tactics Trainer is a troll or a cheater!

Scottrf

Another TT troll. I say another, almost certainly the same person.

We are all conspiring against you Scottrf. BTW, did they give you the diamond membership because you patroll the forums?

Give it a rest the chess community as a whole has seen more than enough convincing evidence to draw their own conclusions about Mr.Ivanov

Scottrf

I'm supposed to believe that 3 people who just troll tactics trainer with the same comments and never visit the forums just happened to decide to post on the same thread?

Right, compared to you that fill up the forums with your garbage comments? Because let's be honest, if someone writes 11687 messages, is a troll right? Or someone who doesn't have a life!

waffllemaster

Good one scott.  How you do you find someone's TT comments?

Another troll with more than 10000 comments approves the first troll with 11000+ comments... maybe it is time that chess.com remove some trolls on this site. It would let the other members express their thoughts freely without being accused, attacked, and abused. Since Scottrf didn't answer, maybe he is using the second account: wafflemaster? I also notice wafflemaster didn't have the money to buy a chess.com membership, maybe because scottrf doesn't want to cough up the money for 2 of his accounts.

Scottrf

Don't think you can search for them but they all just post the annoying screenshots of their scores and comment on how easy the problems are.

waffllemaster

Learn to sockpuppet.  I opened these accounts years ago, and then spent countless hours over the years to get over 20,000 posts between the two.

What did you do?  Open some account and within 1 week (maybe even the same day) post 1 troll topic with 4-5 troll comments.  Wow, even a baby could do that.  I think you're jealous of my dedication and success.

Maybe if you would stop posting troll comments your rating would go up!

935 at chess960 is pretty pathetic.

And what about blitz chess? 1363, while strangely on online chess you are above 2000.

mmmmhhh let me think: is something coming out from your back like Ivanov?

2200ismygoal

Anyone who has looked at Ivanov's games know's that he is cheating.

Scottrf

Report me then troll?

I really can't tell if this is a troll

It is not a troll.  It took me a lot of work over the years to get my two accounts (waffllemaster and scottrf) over 10,000 posts each just for this kind of opportunity.  It was also hard posting so often with no one suspecting the accounts belonged to the same person.

For example to fool staff about the IPs I had to get a proxy in the United States (I'm actually in England).  And little things like posting at different times of the day so no one would catch on.
