Indeed. I'm way older than you and I reached my peak a long time ago! But that's because I stopped playing OTB tourneys, rarely stop by the Club, and well, heh... Life stuff; It seems you enjoy just playing: keep it going, my friend. Eventually you'll get more wins of you dont think about it. Play free. I suck at online blitz but like you, I'm pretty good at OTB blitz etc. But then, it dosen't lend anything more to chess improvement it's just entertainment & socializing. Chess.com or other sites I've played on is just that: a hobby. I know I won't be entering any FIDE World Cup tournaments anytime soon soo any studying or practicing my opening repertoire is superfluous at best. Heh cool. Not saying you can't improve at your "old" age, just saying does it really matter to you to break 1600 in online blitz?✌🏽
