I recently held a seance and contacted Bobby on the other side and interviewed him to see if he was really crazy (because not everyone is convinced). We couldn't talk long as he said they "wouldn't allow it". I will just convey to you that conversation and let you decide.
Bobby says that, unlike his title when he was champion, dying is over-rated. He says he's in purgatory working off the sin of the minds he tried to destroy¹ but he feels there is not much to look forward to in Heaven, when he gets there, because there is no chess in heaven and he has no interest in the harp. He says he feels a bit cheated about not winding up in that other heaven where you get laid a lot, but at least there are no Russians trying to mess with his head.
Bobby still believes that championship games are "fixed" (decided in advance) by the chess federation and that the pieces should be scrambled (Fischerrandom) before every game. But he says he is now at peace and and less tormented. To that he credits long conversations with his bishops and running through the fields with his two horses.
Then he started fading and I could not continue the conversation.
