This is actually a very simple way to do it IMO (link should go to the triangle method, I guess you have to copy and paste it).

I'm trying to figure this out. I have only been able to force it once. This was an interesting mate that I found, but it's not forced:
As you can see, I'm not having much luck once I get the king to the edge of the board.
