Kicking the Bucket during Chess

I just had a long game with Fritz that lasted about 35 minutes, and you hit me with this..I'm putting 911 on my speed dial

It's well established that men suffer from coronary artery disease (CAD) earlier in life than women. Over time, plaque accumulates in the arteries, restricting blood flow to the heart. A heart attack occurs when blood flow to a section of heart muscle becomes blocked.
What could this possibly have to do with chess?
"Dr. Andrew Selwyn at Harvard Medical School and Dr. John Dearfield at the Hammersmith Hospital in London used cardiac PET scans to measure blood flow to the heart in patients with heart disease. While patients were being scanned, he asked them simple arithmetic problems. Just the emotional stress of doing mental arithmetic caused a measureably reduced blood flow to the heart. Dr. Alan Rozanski at the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Medicine found that mental stress caused the heart to beat less effectively in people who had coronary heart disease." - Dr. Dean Ornish
In any developed country, men who eat the typical high fat diet are getting clogged arteries as I type, thus suffering from a certain degree of atherosclerosis.
This means that less blood is flowing to your heart during stressful mental activities, increasing your chances of kicking the bucket while playing chess.
Those who read my posts already know that I had a heart attack a few years back. 50 percent of those who have their first heart attack die. I was lucky.
What do you think about this? Should we even dare to tempt the fates by playing chess today?
I hope you enjoyed this happy morning thought of mine.
Being in a doctors office, and asked any question, may cause some stress for peeps. Anyway, chess is probably a part of the Illuminati's "population reduction program", and they control the world, I hear.

My cardiologist says that chelation therapy doesn't work. He told me yesterday to go vegetarian. No more ribs, steak, fried chicken, elephant meat, etc.
Does anyone have a decent recipe for Tofu Veggie Burgers?

Read in Cheesepedia about Isreal Horowitz. I looked him up because I have a 1950 book by him. His opponent died of a heart attack while playing chess against him.

I googled cheesepedia and either get sites for cheese or some site in spanish.
When I entered a search in google with these words - "heart attack during chess match" - my thread was first on the list.
Scrolling down a bit, I found a few deaths from hear attacks during a chess match. What a morbid subject.
----------
Cuba - Chess is mentioned as being played in Cuba in 16th century books. In 1952, an international tournament was held in Havana. During the event, there was a revolution on Cuba, but the tournament continued on. The Cuban President who sponsored the tournament was deposed. The Mexican entrants were recalled by their government in protest. Finally, the Cuban champion who was playing in the event, Juan Quesada, died of a heart attack during the event.

There is a very good article about this on Jeremy Silman's website:

In that case, please stop typing.

Outstanding find.
One of the morbidly funny stories from Silman.
"The most stirring story of a chess player dying with his boots on concerned world-class postal player and renowned chess teacher Cecil Purdy. He was playing in an over the board chess event and was up an Exchange in his game. It was clear that he was eventually going to win, but his well-wishers' smiles soon turned to horror when he fell off his chair and collapsed in a heap on the ground. His brother (who was also playing at the event) rushed to his side and Cecil whispered something into his ear. Then he died. His final words? One might imagine something like, "Tell my wife I love her." Or "The gold is hidden under the bedroom floorboard." But no, this is a chess player and so his last thoughts were about chess. His dying message to his brother: "I have a win, but it will take time!"
