king discovered check. if your opponent doesn't mind, just pin their king to the back rank, march yours over there, then move it out of the way.

It is simple, have 2 rooks more and go for discovered checkmate, like this

It is never possible to checkmate with a king because that would put your king in check.

when the white king moves out of the way, the white queen checks the black king, and because the black king can't move anywhere, it is checkmate. You may think it is checkmate with a queen, because the queen is giving checkmate, but checkmate with a queen is when a queen moves itself to checkmate. In this situation, Then king moves to deliver checkmate, hence why it is the king delivers checkmate.

Killer King:

Is a hidden Achievement, which doesn't appear in the list until you unlock it in a match.

Like the other achievements, Killer Bishop, Killer Queen, Killer Knight, Killer Rock and Killer Pawn, this achievement is unlocked by promoting checkmate by moving the corresponding piece.

As a king cannot attack another king, the only way to achieve this is by following the second method: moving your king, so that it gets out of the way of another piece to attack the opponent's king, resulting in mate.

As @jimlargon said:

"The killer *piece* does not really require “checkmate by attacking from a piece” but “checkmate by moving a piece”. So it’s the last piece moved in the game."
