So, today, I discover that people on this site are one of two things, (three if you allow for women which isn't a popular thought so try to keep that quiet), Wafflers or Jokers are the clear categories. So, with that thought in mind & while I'm killing time, I just thought I'd mention that, in retrospect, I would change my vote in that poll NR held.
Looking back I'm surprised how many of my friends voted No. I voted yes and stand by my vote. ;)
NR wouldn't let me change my vote... I too would probably vote yes now.

@Ladies: so us the "yes" supporters could have been right? I gave only one reason those days. Maybe there are even more.
Funny how things change, isn't it? It's like, spend enough time here & one can see a whole different side of male thinking. I used to think, as a woman, it was OK here but now it's starting to feel like banging my head against the wall. 
There are exceptions, & good guys & funny guys....but there is a very negative view of women here.
Men and women get on like fire and water ...it makes for a hot scalding steam when the flame is not well regulated.
For now anyway...there are pockets in this vast ocean, where there is a balance where the fire keeps the water warm and the water keeps the fire cool and from burning itself out.

Don't misunderstand...I actually think it's men that mislead/encourage other men to be sexist. It's easy. It's as if they have to join into some anti-feminist group in order to bond with each other. It's pretty much expected & accepted & that is why we will have endless debate about the role of men and women. So there.

There were just as many men arguing against the anti-feminist chauvinists group, marco....so it's 50-50...
Gotta give credit to all the intelligent, reasonable fellas here ...peace

Intelligent, reasonable & peaceful fellas are my favourite type, feufollet. I note there were men arguing against the tide & trying to keep it real. My problem is the blank wall of men that think they have to conform to what other men think, however stupidly sexist that might be. I thought you tried not to do that BL.
If there is something that noone can accuse me of, for anyone who knows who I am - is conformity.
I've long (years before I even knew chess.com) invited women to do more self-analysis and introspection as to why things are the way they are. Women make up 50% of the human race. It's not possible that they have no role to play in anything...
My stance on the issue is unpopular with both males and females -- you can't accuse someone like me of conformity
But, let me not derail your thread of happiness & friendliness onto this divisive issue...yours is the only one here where people come to love not hate
