Knight Promotion?

Are there any master games where a pawn was promoted to a knight? The only reason I can think why this would happen is an advanced checkmate. On the topic of discussion, any reason why a pawn would promote to a rook or bishop?

Yes, there are master games where a pawn under promoted to a knight. The reason to promote to a rook is usually to avoid stalemate. Usually there is no reason to promote to a bishop.

Usually, correct. There are rare cases where promoting to a Rook also gives a stalemate, but underpromoting to a Bishop wins.
