Komodo smashes competition at TCEC Stage 3

So you're saying Stockfish will win the tournament this time?

Stockfish should Win! but the problem is that TCEC has some tricks up it's sleeve that always seems to work in favour of Komodo :( 

Namely the Rule where if an Engine crashes then the other Engine get's the Win point :(

It's supposed to be for all the Engines ? in the last TCEC 7 Stockfish should have won easily as it was at one point ahead by 3+ points with little chance of Komodo winning and yes you gussed it Komodo picked up points from Engines crashing which conveniently put it in first place so that it won the tournament :(

What is needed is a list of FREE points picked up by each Engine to see which one is the True Champion :) but I really don't see them doing that Komodo is their in house Pet :(

We will just have to see how it works out but one thing for sure about what I have said above and that is that the media is watching more closely this time.

Anyway, about getting free points by others crashing & it helping the tournament standings of Komodo or whichever one. The beauty of there being a final match for the championship rather than a 1st place tournament win is that only the top 2 engines themselves are involved. At that point none of the other engines matter, they can't influence anything. I think it's a pretty good bet it will be Stockfish & Komodo again in the final.
