How do you know he went to the toilet? Maybe just walked around, had a coffee or so?
I do not believe he would cheat. He is simply one of the greatest players of our time. Top players are able to play like that, the commentators are GMs but not super-GMs so they just cannot imagine that a human might find this counter-intuitive moves. Kramnik admitted at the press conference that he played f5 and Rf6 simply because all other moves seemed bad to him.
Those elite guys are all great in tactics, this is why they have such high ratings and play games which are hard to understand for weaker players. It is not like a 2300 random player suddenly starting to follow Houdini first lines and destroying GMs. Kramnik won a match against Kasparov, something that noone else managed to do. At that time personal computers were not as strong as humans so how comes he defeated one of the greatest tacticians of all time?
Good defenders are always good tacticians. They predict opponent's threats and prevent them. When they get in real trouble, they defend using tactics.
I think he is, no evidence to support my claim, but I've had a gut feeling about him ever since toiletgate,
I was watching him today, every time he's in a crux, he comes back from the toilet sits down and seems at pains to demonstrate how hard he's thinking. Much gurning and holding head in hands, 20 mins later he finds the miraculous, non intuitive move that the gm commentators always say is extremely difficult to find for human players..
Don't get me wrong Kramnik is an extremely strong player. I just suspect his powers have waned and now he's discovered a method of keeping himself at the top of the tree
I predict that Krmnik will one day be seen as the lance Armstrong of chess
But like I said its just a hunch, I have no proof
