anyone else experiencing severe lag the past few days ONLY on live chess?

I believe i figured it out.  I had been using an 8 yr old laptop to play live chess.  I guess because it was so old, live chess would not stream ads in the ad-box.  Now i'm using a 5 year old laptop and all the sudden live chess is streaming ads.  However this 5 yr old laptop is in no way capable of handling the streaming ads.

If you want ad free chess use an 8 year old laptop!  I don't believe it's very nice to stream ad's that make playing live chess nearly impossible.

The site is free , they have to . You can pay if you would like to be ad free , although I don't feel the ads are too obtrusive so I don't pay . 

Thanx for the input Equiv, but I think we all realize the ads are necessary.  My beef is with the graphic intensity of certain ads.  Maybe chess.com allows those ads on purpose to frustrate users into purchasing ad free chess.  What ever the case may be, I think it's a bad business model to ruin a well liked product with severe lag causing ads.

Maybe there is a way to trick chess.com into believing my 5 yr old laptop has the specs of my 8 year old laptop and therefor I can be ad-FREE again!
