Hello everyone I really need some help on the subject of analysis if someone could can anyone tell me about any websites books or articles talking about or have analysis. Also can anyone tell me what I am suppose to be looking for when I go over games the basics of looking over games etc... Smile

Basic position concepts:

Squares that are being targetted

Weakness in both side's setups

The fatal flaw that caused the shift in the game

Open/closed, any open or partially open files that you did or didn't take advantage of, how you went about getting through the opponents pawn structure, either in the center or around the king.

Any pieces that you found useful in placement, or maybe annoying from opponent's side. Was there an obnoxious fianchetto'd bishop that stayed put and in the way the entire game?

did castling actually help or could there have been an alternative solution. I've seen enough castling into trouble from high rated players where it may have been better to castle other way, or maybe not at all.

I might be able to keep going, but those spring to mind. :)
