Learning chess at 25 - explain this checkmate?

Hi all. I'm new to chess and working my way through the lessons at the moment. I was wondering if anyone could explain why is a checkmate for black (pic below)? To the untrained eye, it looks like black could just move his king to g7.

Hopefully this link works...

Image isn't showing in the link, so I'll try to explain the position.

Blacks king is on g8, with his rook protecting on f7, and two pawns in front on f7 and g6. I move my rook to h8. To me, that checks black's king, and prevents him from moving to h7, but would still allow him to escape to g7, so I don't understand why it would be checkmate?

Sorry, blacks rook is on f8!

The White bishop on b2 guards the g7 square, which is why the Black king cannot move to g7.

Wow, I feel stupid now haha! Thanks for clarifying. Typical case of being too focused on one corner of the board for me.

You can also set up a position in the board editor.
