Level two on computer has almost identically endgame to level 10?

I’m playing level two on the computer, and I make it to the endgame and the computer just has a rook and 4 pawns and I have one of each piece excluding the queen and have 3 pawns. The computer won with a queen and rook, this leads me to believe that the computer switches to level ten once it detects the endgame. Have any of you had similar experiences on level 2?
