i dont know if this is just me but it seems like lichess is a lot easier then chess.com. Everyone starts at 1500 and with two wins you could easily sit at 1900 or 1800 like i did. My ratings average around 1300 on chess.com but on lichess they average 1800 which i can maintain. I still like chess.com better but you should defiantly check lichess out

What's the point of an inflated rating? Shouldn't people want to be challenged?

different rating systems and player pool, they can't be compared. above a certain rating the lichess ratings are actually lower than the chesscom's ones. https://lichess.org/page/rating-systems

If I said it was 30 Degrees out side you might grab a coat but 30 Celsius is 86 F. Maybe 50-60Y ago the British Chess Federation had a rating system and 200 was Master. Seriously if you told someone you were rated 200 they would not think you are very strong. Comparing ratings between Chess.com lichess USCF Fide or even the various ratings between pools is virtually worthless.
