I got a chuckle out of the name ChiefSlappaho. Juxtaposition of unexpected things is common in comedy. In this case I suppose it's an Indian chief and an abusive pimp. "Slappaho" also mimics the sound of a few tribal names which adds to the effect.

A LOT is wrong with that word - according to a lot of social justice warriors. This is the entire point of my posts here. Trans-delusion is far far bigger than just the 0.3% of the USA who are allegedly transgender (although most people who express this later revert back to their original gender identity).
In true Orwell "1984" fashion - we are being subjected to a new range of language, designed to constrain debate, and silence and even criminalise people who hold a view which disagrees with the politically correct orthodoxy.

This is a community forum, but you pretend to speak for all, and try to dictate the direction of free speech? A conversation is organic, and develops naturally. Wow. Well said Mo. I read 1984 when I was 16 and it really caused me to view things in a less naive way. I think Orwell was brilliant. The movie was nowhere near as mind opening as the book.
I read it four times now. Each time I re-read it, i get something new from it (like all the best books). Also on a similar vein "Brave New World" (Huxley) and "Fahrenheit 451" (Bradbury). Very different Dystopic visions of the future but also hold truths - common threads of an overall tapestry - of events which are now transpiring.
The movie was disappointing in that it didn't cover the deeper messages well, but good in terms of entertainment. It is also shocking that Hollywood has remakes of dozens of lesser stories, not "1984". Yet no story in modern literature has been more influential than "1984". Look how much of the modern lexicon and thinking has been shaped by it:
This story - which has drama, horror, action, a love story, a political message, a nightmarish future world - should be IDEAL for Hollywood. Think what they could do with it today, with CGI etc. An instant blockbuster on its NAME ALONE.
Isn't it weird that the last big remake of it was back in... 1984? And you are right, they hardly touched on anything in the movie (i still enjoyed it though, the John Hurt version).

Would it help anybody if I say that I love chess, and I love to play anyone anytime without the slightest inclination to ask my opponents for sexual favours of any kind. But I actually take a look on my opponents whenever we meet physically, and I not a bigger person than chancing a quick guess on whether I shall beat him/her/it in the upcoming game.
