Nothing, I was being sarcastic. It's a knock against all the pretend victims that search for lame stuff to act offended over.

how about really inane material like posted in cartoon next to the word "Chief Slappaho" ?   "Chief Slappaho"...what is that supposed to mean ?  do feel that the caricature you are presenting is funny ? if so, to whom ? if not an attempt at humor, what are you meaning by the presentation ?

We here at the Department of Thought expect answers soon or you will called in for further interrogation

I got a chuckle out of the name ChiefSlappaho. Juxtaposition of unexpected things is common in comedy. In this case I suppose it's an Indian chief and an abusive pimp. "Slappaho" also mimics the sound of a few tribal names which adds to the effect.

we don't like inaneness when referring to a group of people. we here at the Department choose to overlook this incident at this time due to "lack of Thought" involved.  you are the ones who have to live with what you think.

Transcender

I can only imagine what it would be like to be a lesbian chess player.

It would be like if I (as a straight male) got hit on by other guys over the board to no end.

Awful.

A LOT is wrong with that word - according to a lot of social justice warriors.  This is the entire point of my posts here.  Trans-delusion is far far bigger than just the 0.3% of the USA who are allegedly transgender (although most people who express this later revert back to their original gender identity).

In true Orwell "1984" fashion - we are being subjected to a new range of language, designed to constrain debate, and silence and even criminalise people who hold a view which disagrees with the politically correct orthodoxy.

"If thought corrupts language, langage can corrupt thougt" - Orwell

"Its a beautful thing, the destruction of words." - Orwell

"Don't you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thought? In the end we shall make thoughtcrime literally impossible, because there will be no words in which to express it. Every concept that can ever be needed will be expressed by exactly one word, with its meaning rigidly defined and all its subsidiary meanings rubbed out and forgotten." - Orwell

In the USA, a school banned the words mother and father, to appease the trans communityy who aggressively agitate for numerous legal and social concessions. Instead they are to refer to people as 'purple penguins' to avoid offending the trans children... http://bit.ly/26gg4zR

In the UK, a major poliical party banned the word 'woman' for the same reason.  They recommend using the term 'non-men'. http://bit.ly/1rnDT97

In a bid to appease the Social Justice Warriors - Facebook introduced 51 choices for 'gender' - http://thebea.st/1jlRjbJ

In the UK, parents of some schools are now required to ask their children as young as 4 (FOUR!) if they identify as a gender not their birth gender. http://dailym.ai/1T0TFg8 -  They are taught about transgenderism and their 'new identity' if one should emerge, is encouraged.  If parents disagree, social services can get involved and parents can be charged with hate crimes and may lose custody.  http://bit.ly/22PEADq

In the USA, in NYC if you 'misgender' someone (eg call them a man when they elf-identify as a woman) it is classed as a hate crime.  Also, if you deliberately call someone by their birth name (eg calling Caitlyn Jenner, Bruce'), this is the same crime - called 'deadnaming'. Fines can be up to 250k dollars and prison time - http://bit.ly/1Sxi5Ub

If you haven't already read "1984" - now is the time - this book was written in 1948 as a warning about what is now transpiring in Western societies.

Great video - Paul Joseph Watson works for InfoWars and has a lot of good stuff on his YouTube channel.

Another great YouTube channel is Dead Pigeon Speaks. Here is a video he did on Transgenderism

Maybe you could start a new thread about your views on transexuality.  The rest of us were getting along having fun in a nonserious thread.  It would be nice to keep it that way, please.

You are just like a SJW.  In your self-importance, you pretend to speak for everyone, and silence people who you do not want to listen to.  This is a community forum, but you pretend to speak for all, and try to dictate the direction of free speech? A conversation is organic, and develops naturally.  This is what it has developed into, and what we are speaking about is certanly 'on topic' so there is no need to start a new thread.

If you are 'offended' by what you read, why not just spend the 0.1 of a second to skip past posters who 'trigger' you - rathe than the 45 seconds required to write a post biitching about other peoples posts?

I recommend some therapy to get over your butthurtedness:

Wow. Well said Mo. I read 1984 when I was 16 and it really caused me to view things in a less naive way. I think Orwell was brilliant. The movie was nowhere near as mind opening as the book.

I read it four times now. Each time I re-read it, i get something new from it (like all the best books). Also on a similar vein "Brave New World" (Huxley) and "Fahrenheit 451" (Bradbury). Very different Dystopic visions of the future but also hold truths - common threads of an overall tapestry - of events which are now transpiring.

The movie was disappointing in that it didn't cover the deeper messages well, but good in terms of entertainment.  It is also shocking that Hollywood has remakes of dozens of lesser stories, not "1984". Yet no story in modern literature has been more influential than "1984".  Look how much of the modern lexicon and thinking has been shaped by it:

This story - which has drama, horror, action, a love story, a political message, a nightmarish future world - should be IDEAL for Hollywood. Think what they could do with it today, with CGI etc. An instant blockbuster on its NAME ALONE.

Isn't it weird that the last big remake of it was back in... 1984? And you are right, they hardly touched on anything in the movie (i still enjoyed it though, the John Hurt version).

What?! It was only a simple question about language from a non-English speaker!

"What?! It was only a simple question about language from a non-English speaker!"

WOW! wall of text. You didn't need to quote my ENTIRE post...

I. Do. Not. Care. About. The. Intention. Of. Your. Question.

I was picking up on your use of the word "guy", and I am making a point about how language is being corrupted to fit a narrow Politically Correct agenda. This is the point Chiefslappaho (!) was making.

I was replying to him more than you, he gets it.

Would it help anybody if I say that I love chess, and I love to play anyone anytime without the slightest inclination to ask my opponents for sexual favours of any kind. But I actually take a look on my opponents whenever we meet physically, and I not a bigger person than chancing a quick guess on whether I shall beat him/her/it in the upcoming game.
I am not an American, but I believe I fit fairly well the american definition of a WASP. Add a few year on the upper side of fifty, and I shall bet good money that lads and ladies of all orientation and persuasion "knows exactly" what I am thinking, feeling, planning etc. And you are all wrong of course. But can I manage to fight all the preconceived ideas that people walk around with. No, I can not.Gegen Dummheit kämpfen Götter selbst vergebens

Given my complete lack of German, I'm rather pleased with myself that I worked out what this means without Google Translate. Smile

Awww poor diddums... did I 'trigger' you? Cry

I never understood the need for people on community forums to declare themselves 'sheriff' and start calling for the censorship of people they disagree with... when they have the simple option of voting with their eyeballs and ignoring comments they don't like.

Thought Police... we are proud of you, Little Brother! Good job! IngSoc rules!
