live chess, opponent letting clock run out

It seems that a good portion of the live chess games I play end with my opponent refusing to move.  Usually the time runs out and I get a message that the player will be reported or something.  Sometimes they will move when time gets low; I assume hoping you have fallen asleep or something.  Is this as common as it seems to be in my case?  Can we stop this?

Take a cup of coffee and stroll in your room listening to the music. Once a nutbrains did this psycological trick on me. He didnt move for 10 minutes and when I finally switched to playing AOM online. He moved. guess what?, I LOST ON TIME!!!

Yeah, that's stupid! :(

I admit I did it once a year ago. I was waiting until 0,1s. My opponent run out of time (7 min).

I think now there is an option to play more games (Live chess!) simultaneously! Once I played blitz 5|0 and bullet 1|0 at the same time (I do not recommend that). ;) You can relax yourself in unrated game while waiting on move. :)

I am used to playing six hour games so I can do that on my head. I just drink tea and chill.
