we worked for 2 years down the wrong path and didn't realize it until too late. we had to totally start over. we started over in january and now have something very close to being done.
please give us 6 more weeks :)

This is all well and good, but like I mentioned earilier , what EXACTLY is being done? faster network, better UPS cables,? I am really very curious. I dont think i am prying , as I feel I have a right to know, right?

complete re-write of the technology. started from scratch. has nothing to do with hardware or cables or network speed. it has everything to do with how the messages are being sent to and from your computer (messaging layer) and how your browser interacts with the website (javascript client).
also, the first version of live chess (currently online) was built by 2 people. this next version has 7 people working on it, including 2 of the top industry leaders.
Well you heard him.Let's just wait and see. I for one am looking forward to these improvements.

find it hard to see how you are making ends meet-- never mind a profit/living-hope i am very wrong !!
think about a black backround as in top gear or east of the web sites.
also a display play board in main chat room to illustrate chess conversations
a live group vote main room public chess board game could be a fun exercise and channel some of the misplaced energy directed now at just pestering the mods with inanities
think the idea of lots of mods is a good one - perhaps even democratically elected and re-elected !!- people invest in those they have chosen ....
a public mute/kick/ban appeal policy would be nice
some zanier ideas - a live camera feed from the chess board at budapest baths swim pool chess table
- a play the famous challenge event - kinky friedman or condoleeza for a display match ....

This has been around ever since I joined(which has been since a year),today after being DC'd in a blitz game where it was a mate in 2(ooh boy did the table pay for it) I would like to ask, exactly WHAT improvements are being made? Because other chesss sites where I have an account are WAY more stable than chess.com, (but more people on here). And this site gains more revenue, so shouldnt it be easier to finance a faster network, if thats the problem, otherwise pardon my ignorance. Would really apprecaite it if someone answers my queiries, because I am reallyannoyed. Thankyou.
