I love it when a World Chess Champion or any game/sport, enjoys a long reign. I think that it gives the game far more credence than one that has a different Champion every time.
Carlsen will be added to the list of all time greats. I can't imagine Ding enjoying the same longevity and compared to the likes of Fabi, is quite a weak ambassador for the game.
Great shame Magnus had to make the "too good to bother" statement because he would always be a World Champion to be feared.
