Hey David,
I am interested. My USCF rating dropped to 1564 after my dismal tournament performance last January. I have played well at the 1700 level in the past, but due to my new role as caregiver and an horrific illness last year, I could not invest any time into chess for almost two years and my OTB play has severely suffered. I recently started a "club" (really just one or two guys on Tuesday nights) to get back my playing strenght.
So, I am into study as well. frankly, always have been. I am currently studying the London System because of my lack of playing practice. I can schedule 60 minute blocks of time during the day. I work at night and take care of my wonderful 93 year old Dad during the day.
If this sounds like an opportunity to you, let me know. I fully understand if you choose another route. Your Friend, Joe
I am a USCF rated 1527. I am currently trying to get ready for a tournament coming up in September. I will be playing in the U1700 section as of now.
I am looking for someone around my rating (no lower than USCF 1500) to play 30 to 60 minute games with me, analyze them afterwards, and possibly study endgames/middlegames/openings with me. We can work out a schedule that fits both our lives. I have skype and/or tango and I can meet on here or ICC.
Just send me a PM if you are interested.
Thanks,
Fellow Chess Player
