Looking for chess instructor

Hello. Im looking for someone to teach me how to play chess. I have been playing every now and then since I was 8 when my dad taught me, so we're talking 17 years, but during that time I havn't gotten any better and my ability to play chess is pathetic. I think that if I improve my chess game that I will strengthen my mind and that solving daily life problems will be easier. Although I must admit my chess game is pathetic, failure is the pillar of success and I believe that Chess strengthens the mind.

So I am looking for someone that can teach me the strategy, tactics, and ultimately the philosophy behind Chess and actually teach me how to play. All I really know how to do is move the pieces around and the objective of the game, but the problem is I rarely complete the objective of the game which is to checkmate your opponent.

Well this grasshopper was kinda looking for a free instructor hehe.

I would be willing to help although would be a better coach in person which due to location would be impossible.Best of luck with your search

hi brutan, start playing some games, i saw you did not have any rating on chess.com...  some good players like to help, us, lower rated players... but not if we do not play, i think :)
