Looking For Coach

Hello, new to chess and I'm looking for a free coach. I believe I'm pretty decent for a starter, been reading books and starting to get obsessed with the game. I would like a coach to explain to me the usefulness of openings and maybe someone who can just work with me to make me better. If you are a coach who has free time and is looking for a student who will take things very seriously and is really motivated to get better then please respond. I believe anyone with a rating above 1500 would be able to help me improve, so if you have some free time then please respond or send me a message, thanks.

Players around 1500 are not that much better than players of 1100 in my experience. They make less mistakes and they spot more traps like forks etc but they still don't really know the openings, they still make silly mistakes, and they don't properly understand strategic play. You really want someone 2000+ I reckon.

I play around 1700 level on another site, 1400 to 1500 on here but I use this site more for trashy chess when I want a quick game in work, and I'd say you wouldn't want folks at my level teaching you , you definitely need IM kind of level.

If you're way below 1500 then spend some time doing chess puzzles first.

Alright thanks for the advice, I guess ill increase the requirements to 1900+. 

Might I recommend hiring a professional in your area, or use some of the useful youtube videos and/or training dvds instead? Some of them are basically lessons from GMs that would usually set you back a lot of money.

Yeah ive never actually thought about looking for someone locally, thanks for the advice. Going to sleep now though, been up all night reading about chess.
