By offering to teach/coach others who want help, even if ih8sens even manages to have an impact on one, then kudos to him for trying.. atleast he's offering to help others improve on their chess skills.
Wow. Glad to see this going along. I too am only a lowly 1800 but if you have a few too many pupils or other people who are interested in some mentorship. I'll gladly take the overflow. They can just message me.

Apologies to those who were genuinely interested in learning but I'm tired of putting up with the (relatively small) group of morons who accuse me of various things..
such as...
- Offering this service entirely for the good publicity it would bring me; to 'brag' as some people said.
- Offering this service so as to convince those skeptics that I'm not a cheater...
- Ignoring people's requests for matches (which, by the way, I have every right to do although I never did!)
It's sickening and I'm not helping anyone anymore. I was trying to be nice to others and simply got smothered in false accusations in return. I'm tired of it.

Hey buddy, relax. I don't know why anyone would accuse you of those things, and if they did, they're children. I'm sure everyone understands your intentions exactly. I hate to hear that you've been soured on the experience - I bet there were only a few people at most who would've sent that to you. Let me assure you it's not the common perception of your cool offer. Don't take it to heart so much man, they're just goofs on the internet.

You're right to a degree I suppose... I just recieved a very nasty email and for some reason it got to me... Guess I snapped a little.
I do still stand by what I said though.. I will not be coaching any further with very few exceptions (2 to be exact... which happens to be the number of games I finished with NICE people... wonder why).
Three points :
1. There are players who could genuinely get something from your help
2. You could get something from helping them
3. If they make you stop, they have won. Don't give up because of a few idiots.
Lol kohai I really appreciate those who are coming to defend me but it also begins to prove my point...
All those wonderful people out there can now pounce on my last post and call THAT a publicity stunt too... I'd rather this thread and my offer in general are just allowed to die. I'm sure there are other, quieter, ways of being a nice person.
i'm rated in the upper 1400's but i can't help but feel like my game isn't steadily strong..i make good opening moves but don't have a solid mid-game, my end game could use a little work as well..i just need a few pointers in the right direction if that's alrite!!
....I'm a 1900 here, if a few 1000-1500's want to challenge me to a friendly "instructional game" I'm happy with that.
