This is a privately owned site. They that own it make the rules....I can't tell my boss what I think of her and not get fired, irregardless that I am a vet who fought for "free speech" concerns.

Chess.com is free to make rules for their own site, including no swearing. You agreed to the rules in the terms of service when you joined the site. If you violate the rules you agreed to, don't complain about the consequences. And yes, thinly disguised swearing is still swearing.

If you report people who swear in the chat and include a screenshot as evidence, they will also find themselves muted or banned.
