really don't know what happened i played the same i think but won quite a few games ina row and now have rank of 178 -- first time that high in months still enjoying the 24 hour games but the 3 min games give me the thrill when i win --since i am so bad a player maybe just maybe unless i hit a rash of good players i can get to 200 -- wow would that be something ????

oops wrong stat report about time out loss. edited. sorry.

LOSTATCHESS

friday nite seesion still at 171 so couple wins couple of losses -- don't think that 200 is possible for me always sliding back oh well enjoy while still above 100

LOSTATCHESS

knew it wouldn't last --- three losses in-a row no wins -- back down to 150 again -- how can i crack this system win a lot in row then loss all your gains in a row every time - the same pattern

got to be a fix for this --- or a way to disrupt the pattern they put into this system at least now i now for sure i won't be getting to 200 ----

One session you're more focused, the next one you're less focused. Such is nature of human cognition. You can force yourself to pay more attention when you're missing stuff, it does help. Then just take a little more time on your move and make extra sure your opponent cant take your piece on the next turn. Do you ever lose on time? If not then use your time more.

Hey guys. finally broke 500. yes doing a few puzzles. and reviewing my games. Watching you tube videos. I was losing a lot of games due to timing out. so, I play 30 min. instead of 10. lot less mistakes and blunders too. Ok. Next goal 600. going to be tough. I think I'm going for 8 in a row. Talk to you soon.

I would suggest learning one opening for white. London system is easy one. for black not sure what to recommend. maybe Scandinavian def. at 200 you will quickly improve. I got under 300 and had to change what I was doing or not doing. goodluck.

have lost serveral 24 hour games but at least i have got to between 25 and 30 moves each before i resigned -- hopefully i can do better on the next couple of 24 hour games -- everything with life and xmas coming on is going to *hits but i hope to make it to jan 1st at least maybe things will change----- back to playing couple of games right now before lunch

I had to laugh at myself for missing mate in one I was in process of setting something up with my Bishop and Rook not until the game was over did I realize if I had moved the rook and not the Bishop it would’ve been game over . The game ended in a draw but still missing mate is a missed opportunity for a victory

something has happened ------ wow for me i got over 200 first time in months -- didn't think it would happen so i think i will stop tonight and savor the win --mostly i am getting players that when i blunder don't take advantage of me -- then they usually 2 nd move on they blunder and i will don't -- but that's them losing the games --not me winning the game-- so its -- much like time out wins -- not quite the same thing as a i beat you win -- but 200 does sound alot better than 100 doesn't it ???-- now if i could only keep it

LOSTATCHESS

well as can be expected for me i lost three in-a row and now i am under 180 --- it was sweat while it lasted i guess being over 200 but i should know by now they play you against tougher opponents even if their score is lower than yours and of course i played very badly -- that is a given --so i will the slide to the bottom again for rest of nite i can feel it -- really just once could they give a break and let me stay a higher score for a while ---- guess not

LOSTATCHESS

the downward slide continues more and more losses each session -- its a road block i can't seem to stop -- will try a different approach next couple of game before i get to 100 again --- !@#$%^&*uck i hate this game this is wrecking my xmas eve

BlunderKing1987

Happens to me 95 percent of the time. Not the opponent finding a brilliant move or tactic or playing overall better strategically. Simply me dropping a piece or doing something I told myself not to do in the game already 3 times, such as placing the queen under the fire of a rook. Then engine reveals I was 5 or more points in the lead before that stupid move. So I consistently lose to newbies who I bet have spent no more than a week playing the game in total.
And I have read a tactical chess book!! Chess book, your hear me!? And guys with stupid scholar's mate still beat me or a total newbie who breaks all chess principles or only moves pawns the entire game etc.

LOSTATCHESS

thanks for the reaffirmation of my blight -- but the sound of your speak you are not that bad -- just in a slump -- i looked at one of your games -- move 15 on you seem to go to peices most games you lose -- me its move 8--and on -- see you got 7 moves on me in the blunder/ mistake category-- small joke i know

well i must stop for today 4 more losses in row iam so @#$%^&Uucking depressed about playing chess --and yes i thought about giving it up -- but i can't -- maybe later tonight or tomorrow before the grandkids come over and visit for xmas i will put a couple of games together --but i ask you this -- where are all the other idiot stupid crumie newbie players that play like me -- why can't i play them

LOSTATCHESS

xmas day --- before the grandkids arrive ---three losses four wins -- time to stop again-at least above 150 again --

LOSTATCHESS

boxing day opposite to yesterday four losses three wins - so more downward slide -- 144 now --hummmmmmmmmmm-- meds starting to kick in sooner today because of the the heavy candy and alcohols intake -- so time for break see you tonight after supper

LOSTATCHESS

another four losses in a row this late afternoon on boxing day almost back to 100 now -- will try another game and then stop

asxriller

late but merry christmas lostatchess. I'm surprised that you are consistent with your effort!
