Lost a Game on Time Before the 10 Minute Expired

I don't understand how I can lose a game on time when I am only 8 minutes into a 10 minute game. I still had a queen, rook and four pawns, and king was not in check, so how could this have happened?

The screenshot you probably looked at was taken after your opponent's last move - not yours.

It shows that you had 1:45 left when your opponent made his last move. It appears that you did not respond. Perhaps you got disconnected.

Thanks for your prompt response. Immediately after the opponent's last move a banner was displayed that said I had lost on time. It seems unreasonable that my game should be terminated prior to the expiry of the 10 minutes allotted for the game before I even had a chance to make a move.

I had a similar situation the other day. After a few hours I got a cordial email from the site that said my loss was actually due to a server issue and my points were refunded. Wait a bit, it might be a similar situation.
