Lost games and what was learned

A couple of weeks ago, I saw someone try and start a forum topic about posting games that were lost.

It was an interesting idea, but didn't go anywhere. I think partly because the poster didn't bother to post a game.

So, I would like to start something similar. However, there are 2 differences:

1) I will be posting a game I lost just today.

2) We are constatly told we learn more from our losses than our wins. So, if you post a game, please post something you learned from the game.

In this game, I was remineded not to voluntarily allow pieces to become pinned (Move 19) and, be more alert for tactical complications that can leave me equal to or better off than my opponent (missed attacking his queen with my knight to counter his attack on my queen.)

A bird in hand is better than 2 in the bush - Move 16 ..a5 would have created pressure and opened a great file for my rook. But, instead, I persued a more difficult plan of undubling my pawns.

I think you played well overall. Those pawn up rook endgames are tough. If your Deep Fritz 12 can't figure it out, I sure can't.
