Lucas Chess vs Scid vs PC

I'm new and trying to improve my game and figure out the best way to study without paying a lot of money for books and lessions. Currently I came across Lucas Chess and Scid for training. I have yet to figure them both out 100% but I want to know from people who use both programs, do I need both, and what is the differeance between the two feature wise?
Also general advice on chess study, I'm thinking about a memebership on here also.
