In a standard time control game? I would give the GM's drawing chances but that's it. They would probably not be able to win. The top engines are too strong now and it's actually tough for a GM to draw against them even in odds games.Â
Machine vs Humans
Yea, because if Kasparov beat deep blue then why not Stockfish 8?Â
Â
Kasparov beat Deep Blue in a match in 1996.
In '97, he lost.
In 2006, Deep Fritz beat Kramnik in a match, winning 2 games and holding the human to draws in the other 4.
And that was over 10 years ago. Â
I wouldn't bet a single penny on anyone coming close to beating the 'children' of Deep Blue and Deep Fritz.
Throwing Kasparov, Karpov, and Carlsen at the computers of today would be like throwing three snowballs into a furnace -- three at a time would be just as pointless as one at a time.
Humans have been deposed.
True man, but you know what they say everything's possible and everyone and everything has a weakness so there's that. Machines may look incredible amazing on both offence and defence but nevertheless human still win in the end. That's only my opinion though, free to express your opinion guys!Â
A calculator can do math faster than the smartest mathematicians in the world, but it's still just a dumb calculator programmed by humans. Â Although chess engines can out calculate humans and play flawless chess, I'll never be impressed even when they are rated 5000. More impressive is the intelligence of the humans that built them.Â
edit: Sorry, a bit off topic. That's just what comes to mind when I think of computers being able to do things better than humans. They are just tools built by us. Puppets basically
Yea all cool bro, if computers excelles so much in the opening, why not give computers an unorthodox opening?Â
