Magnus is mean

it has impacted many players in a mental and scarring way, you cant just say that something is simply a board game when it means more than that. for some people this is their job and for others they are riding on this game as thats what gave them passion. there is no difference wether if its chess or not i wouldnt laugh at anyone who likes their passion and wants to prove that he can win regardless if its simply whatever as i am fine with seeing a game where they are willing to go all out and nothing less, thats magnus carlsen

You're supposed to play the game to win. Otherwise, what's the point?

In all honesty: At the super gm levels with large amounts of money at play, I understand the Magnus approach. Of course. But seeing guys rated 1200 here on CC play like they think it's Fischer v Spassky every game is just pathetic. What a bunch of tryhards.

"if you cant fight then dont complain about others who try to keep going"

so? it still doesnt give you the right to say he cant keep on fighting

cryptic of you to have this attitude:

chess to me is an infinite, challenging puzzle;

who are you to assume about other people?

It's been nice chatting. I might go play a 15+10, full well knowing that my opponent is a 12 year old Asian whose father is standing behind him with a big piece of bamboo, threatening to beat him to death with it if he doesn't win the game.

stereotypical cultural insensitivity

Guys I think we should just unfoolow this rather than argue with a wacko who thinks everyone else is a wacko

Lol  wish I could jump on board with your attitude happy.png

Chess forum is created showing great endgame skills from the top player in the world. Very next comment...

"My Dad is stronger than your Dad."

"No way man, my dad fought everyday back when"

"So, my dad was in UFC"

Hahaha happy.pnghappy.png

But your post is a good example of a lesson I wrote down recently. The last exchange which leads to an endgame is the most important! Often decides the game.

They are good, but not as good as your blogs, even your nonexistent ones.

Jesus, TP, you are an angry, angry person! I get incensed about certain things, too, but typically very specific things that I feel are warranted. You are just generally bashing people for playing chess. You call people pathetic and losers, how do you think people see you? You’re spewing a lot of vitriol for no real reason. I’m not a psychiatrist, but it doesn’t take a psychiatrist to see that somethings up, buddy. I need to find a way to burn off all that rage.
