Magnus taken down a peg

Carlsen is maybe the greatest chess player in history but even Magnus Carlsen is human and his drinking too much will bring him down more than a peg. "You can't soar with the eagles in the morning when you fly with the buzzards at night." Uncle Billy

Any piece adjustment deemed necessary should be done before starting your opponent's clock as a common courtesy. "J'adoube doesn't apply to me" is plain arrogance.
Again, I would like to see him win because his chess ability is above reproach but he has a number of annoying disrespectful personal traits which includes looking like a tramp - and deeming that defending his World Title is beneath him.

Buzzards don't fly at night. Maybe he was thinking of owls? Or else he's just not a good observer of nature.
Don't get me wrong, I am a huge Magnus CHESS fan but it was quite satisfying to see him saunter to the board against Keymer 'fashionably late' and after the first move, takes an age to complete the top of his scoresheet; too important to have to announce "J'adoube", proceeds to adjust every piece before having a good look around and taking a drink before finally condescending to make a move... before going on to get badly beaten.
