Manors
...i mentioned to another player today refering to it as manors of the masses...
Most of the masses don't live in manors, they typically live in less expensive housing.
You guys beat me to it. And probably the rich people who play chess and live in stately manors don't say "good game" to a person after they are defeated by a homeless guy.
And to answer your question about manners, it is not required, but it is good manners if you mean it.
No one ever said you were required to wish someone gg, but lately no one says it...i mentioned to another player today refering to it as manors of the masses. Has anyone else experienced this lately or is it just me...i look at chess games as not only a way to sharpen your skills but also as a way to meet people around the world.
It is also important to note that many people now use the chess.com app for their phones. The app does not notify you when comments have been namde on the computer. I rarely play my games by logging in to chess.com now and sometime later realize someone had wished me goodluck or said hello.
think all players should take a few seconds out off there game win or loose at the start or at the finish to acknolage the person they are playing if possible, makes the game a bit more human and less like playing against a computer.

In a 1 minute bullet game, a few seconds is all it takes to go from a win to a loss.
