Not sure. But I was in prison, but got transferred to the military. There are alot of strong players in prison based on my experience.

How many pro chess players and titled masters learned their chops in prison? Anyone really really great credited for having done so?
Do tournament rules discriminate against ex-felons? I read that Fischer played 20 prisoners to an audience of 2400 and beat all 20 players.
