If you're a decent player and create a new account, wouldn't you pick an initial level like expert or whatever it's called where the rating is 1600 to start off with? Doesn't seem to mean much of anything. On the flip side, there are plenty of 1600 rated players or thereabouts playing unrated games who are much weaker than their ratings suggest.
Many suspicious new accounts on chess.com

I am guessing low level bots are being used. Even when I win, there will be long pauses for obvious moves. I take their rook, they wait for 30 seconds to take the rook back when the position doesn't call for anything else to do. Another observation is you will win a couple hands down easily, then get paired with an opponent that grinds you. I think this is their way to police the system to make sure you aren't using assistance. Again, even when I am winning, I will put the game in after it is finished, and it will show a line I could have played to mate sooner but it was too difficult to see. I think they do this for cheat detection.
Yea a lot of times the opponent is playing really sus using weird openings which make no sense at all and then starts playing like magnus on aderal or something.
And as for the missed mate it is usually a mate in 10 or some whit and only stockfish would really see that.
Hey Everyone,
I am playing on chess.com since 2017 and I am rated between 1600-1700. Lately I have noticed that I am playing against a lot of new accounts with around the Same rating and very suspicious history of very few games and sometimes even high win percentage.
Now I have got to admit that maybe nothing is wrong and I am just missing something but It seems very weird to me that accounts that sometimes exist for a month can reach a very high rating without rating manipulation or cheating.
Have you noticed this as well? Maybe you can explain it to me but I don't really get it.
