Massive lag using chess.com on M3 pro macbook

Hey guys,
I just got a new laptop. M3 pro chip and all. It works great and very speedy. However everytime I run chess.com on safari it uses 1000% of my cpu and I get terrible lag. Has anyone had a similar problem and how did they fix it?
Also I am not running any analysis or anything like that. I just have the game open.
