I may be making this up, but I thought Kasparov played a game before where he began the game without queen and managed to end the game in a draw. I've searched for game and have yet to find it. Did I just come up with this or am I just not looking in the right place?

i think you came up with it because i don't think you can start out with a queen because for the first move you can only move a pawn of your knight first so i think you came up with it

Kasparov very likely played handicap games, like all GMs who get around laymen fundraising and stuff.

Why not a queen ?

But the game itself would not be very interesting, I am afraid.
