Matchmaking within the same league

Is there a way to get pairings only within your same league?? I'm a noob, I've been playing against people only a few weeks/a month but I'm noticing something in my success rate. If I'm playing someone within the same league (or a step above) game is a toss coin. But whenever I get paired with someone from elite league or champion league my chances of winning drop. I think it's due to familiarity, they may have the same ELO as me, but have a lot more games played and a lot more experience against different positions. I don't mind losing that much, but when I get paired several times in a row against people from higher leagues it gets a bit discouraging. Couldn't there be a setting to only have matches against people in your league???

TLDR: matchmaking should account for both ELO and league. Players with roughly the same ELO but vastly different experience playing the game are not the same in my opinion.

Leagues don't matter. You only need to play a lot to get to higher leagues, which has nothing to do with chess knowledge.

Not exactly. They might win as much as they lose so their ELO doesn't climb, but they may have 3 times the experience of someone on a lower league. Maybe they're not as strong as anyone with a higher ELO regardless of the league. But when the ELO is the same, having played a lot more games I think it does show. I don't mean to suggest to only have matchmaking within the same league, but introducing it as a setting could avoid discouraging people who just want to learn and play similar oponents.
I think one of the major differences is that even on low ELO, people with enough experience are a lot less likely to one-move hang their pieces for instance, having already lost several matches because of that. Maybe on higher ELOs it doesn't matter that much and it just measures how much you play on this app and nothing more, I'm a 350 newbie and a chess noob after all, so I don't know how it is on higher ELOs. So once again, a setting to avoid that would be nice. It wouldn't even matter even if it takes much more time to get match, because it's a choice.
