I only play 30/0 games. On chess.com my ranking is 771,000 which puts me in the top 7%.
On Lichess my ranking is 6,187 which puts me in the top 32%.
I am not a mathematician but these figures suggest that there are about 11 million ranked players on chess.com and roughly 18,000 on Lichess. This seems unlikely.
I think that maybe this distortion is down to chess.com not having different categories for quick games 10/0 and longer games such as 30/0? If the stats are to have any meaning then these games should have different categories shouldn't they?
