POST YOUR GAME BELOW to have it analyzed by GM JESSE KRAAI on
Wednesday September 30th on www.twitch.tv/chessdojolive

At 1:00 pm Pacific time!

3 HOURS LONG!

The goal of the show is to help you analyze your games - the true path to improve your chess. So write out as much of your thinking as you can in your annotations. Tell us where the game was played and the time control too. If you look up past threads you will find many fine examples of amateur players writing about their games.

Not sure how to post your game? Chess.com has you covered! Just check out the video below to learn how!

Yay this is still running! You analysed two of my games last year and I found it very insightful. I'm hoping you can cover this one too:

I submitted this game to show that even when I am optimistic, I still fail. This was a King's Indian Defense in which I won a pawn in the middlegame and felt I had a positional advantage to go along with my material advantage. Had my opponent asked for a draw, I would have turned him down, even though I rarely reject draw offers. But then I choked worse than the 49ers in the Super Bowl and lost a game almost any other player would have won easily. My kingside attack failed and White's queenside attack succeeded (helped by my inept defending). This was a Daily Chess game (3 days to make a move) played in June. Since my analysis and annotations are so bad, I went over the

game on a chessboard in the hope that this will help. I did the computer analysis after the game, but other than one move (mentioned in the analysis), I don't remember what it said.

That's not the end of this story. After stewing over the loss for a few days, I challenged the guy to a rematch because I was certain I could beat him. I had a decent position, but threw it away with a blunder. I will not ask GM Kraai to review the game in a subsequent stream, but if anyone is curious, it can be seen here.

Hi

This is my first time posting, so let me introduce myself.

My name is Simon, I am a 28 year old P.hD student from Denmark.  I started playing chess online in 2013, and otb in 2018. I have two kids, so my chess time is relatively limited these days.

The following game is my most recent league game.  I'm white (1800 ELO) vs Black (2000 ELO)

I hope this show can give me the motivation to analyse my own game carefully, and perhaps a few good tips on the analysis.

Hello Jesse ! I'm a chess dojo member and patreon supporter. Here's a game I played in the Chessdojo ladder. I guess you'll have a few things to say about the endgame (at least !). Thank you for your time.

Thanks again for doing this, Jesse. Very illuminating. This is a 90/30 game on LiChess, I am playing the white pieces. The opening was bumbled a bit, then my usual middle game drift, followed by a gift. But the main thing I take from this is that I still have miles to go when it comes to the middle game.

PS. Thank you for giving me such a attention last time and investigating translation of my Polish name happy.png. It is actually not "Micheal". I was always in opinion that is has no real counterpart in English language, but I googled it lately and found out that it should be close to "Matthias" (which I never consider an English name. It sounds rather German to me). I even stumbled on this youtube video how to pronounce it grin.png https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6E5anS7RjI
