There may be an option in the Format menu to format cells as a date, so functions will regonise those cells as such.

Hi, I am new to Excel Spreadsheets and was wondering how to properly format a date (Day/Month/Year, etc.) in order to be able to use the functions to sort by date. Is there any format that is preferred? Thanks.
