1. the owners of the red sox are in no way paying for any work contracted out by the massachusetts department of transportation.
2. i dont think that the red sox have a problem paying for players, considering they have the second highest payroll in baseball. and they did a lot more with the second highest payroll than the yankees did with the highest, didnt they?
