I like that you want to help and you're trying to come with ways of helping. But honestly just report things that need to be reported. Are the moderators understaffed? Yes, but things will get dealt with. Not always when we want but it will bet dealt with. My motto: "Report, block and move on."

the mods here are in fact very balanced and responsive. they are also not vindictive. they give 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 11th chances. they let contentious threads continue as long as they break no rules, and lock only when it gets ugly. been her several months and never seen a mod take sides against anyone.
one of the best volunteer mod staffs i've ever seen. hard to improve it.
but easy to break it. one radical monkeywrench and BOOM.

I hvae been here 2 years and seen countless unseen things.
The only difference is the person that helps staff will have NO power so it wont break it,

Yes but the report goes to a bot then if its sometimes ignored. (staff told me)
But certain people get access to direct reports to staff so it will be taken care of
