I would think that a live 1800 is maybe 1600 in real blitz and online 2000 is maybe 1800.
More About The Chess Rating System
Is the chess rating system here anything like the systems you would get from going to a chess club or playing in real life tournaments???
I heard that anything blow 1400 rating is considered as beginner standard, this was a bit of a clash to my ego as thought i was an intermediate player lol.
My chess live blitze is awful but 15 10 games are usually keeping me above 1300
A 1400 will know much more than a beginner, so this kind of distinction (sub 1400 is beginner, 1400+ is intermediate) is useless. It's all about what you aspire to and the kind of players you choose to play.
Take an opponent 300-400 points below a players rating and it will seem "they don't know how to play real chess." So strong titled players would say masters are hopelessly weak while the amateur masses look upon 2200 as mount Olympus.
It's a continuum of improvement, not an either or.
