Who are the most promising young chess players? I remember of Carlsen and Karjakin when they were 13 years old as future stars :-)

Probably Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa, 13 years old from India. Already a grandmaster only Karjakin achieved this at a younger age.

And among the Russian?

Well there is Mischa Osipov, a 4 year old boy. Apparently he is already at a strong club player level. There is a video of him playing Anatoly Karpov in a time-odds game on youtube. Karpov is up a pawn and sportingly offers a draw. The young man declines but loses on time and sadly bursts into tears.

For Osipov, it is a little bit crazy to say something about him as he is too young happy.png

Among very young IM maybe?
