Moving a Pawn Twice in the Opening
I am not saying White has a winning position now. I am saying that after
9. Na3 I believe White should win with best play by both sides.
Sometimes I hate chess. White can have a clear advantage and it still may not be enough to win.
As I said, I suspect White is winning in the main line, but at the current level of engine analysis possible, the most we can say with certainty is that White has a clear edge.
Can you prove it's winning Ponz111? Your stating this position is not winning yet you had 9na3 so something went wrong

I did not say this position is not winning. I did not say this position was winning either.
What I said was that I believe the position after 9. Na3 is winning with best play be both sides.
I cannot prove it is winning or not winning. It will take much study over a period of months or years to get a good handle on the position after 9. Na3.
Nobody can prove the position is winning or not winning by one game. We can get a clue but that is all. I think White obviously has the advantage but on the other hand Black has thousands of different defenses and White has thousands of different trys.
What I said was that I believed with best play by both sides, White should win.
Somehow I think this does not mean what you think it means.
ponz in the postion after Bxd4 Rb1 Bb6
Please do not respond for Rumo75 as he is a very good player and will find good moves. Your suggestion loses anyway.

I think it means that after 9. Na3 if the game could be analyzed by God, God would decide that 9. Na3 would win. [if there is a God]

How does it lose?
Well look at it in a computer. That's as close as you can get.
Not really, sometimes humans play better than the best chess engines.

I was corrected for making that mistake. And, that was before I surpassed beginner status. In fact, it was one of my main mistakes. So, despite the fact that my rating is below 1800, I emphasize to my students that are beginners not to push pawns or move the same piece twice in the opening, unless you absolutely must, such that the opponent is threatening mate or is about to win material. Only then should opening guidelines be broken.
So you're saying the Caro advanced with 3..c5 is okay?
It is probably ok as there are good reasons to move the pawn twice.
I like how the OP makes a correct statement but follows it up with flawed analysis.
Maybe because I do not make the very best moves everytime. [nobody does]
Also my statement had nothing to do with my current playing ability.
[which is far lower than when I found 9. Na3 many years ago]

How is RUmo misquoting you? You are basically saying white has a winning poistion now
