Why are all of you avoiding what I am saying, which is that you go around ridiculing everyone you come across, except your fellow ridiculers?

Sure, I'll tackle that one head on.

It's not true.  Almost all new members and forum participants manage to assimilate themselves into this community without crapping all over any and all social conventions and norms and are received hospitably.

When they don't, however, much as you've experienced, the community has a tendency to try to guide them towards more acceptable behaviour.  When guidance proves ineffective, the tone changes, and understandably so.  It's the same in any community, virtual or real.

Not me, msr ibeteau.  It's good to have you back.  You have essentially been one of the dominant themes in my late 800's and early 900's.   That's one more in my quest for 1000.

That one wasn't directed at you corrijean, but thanks for the input. Now, let's continue to wait as ilikeflags tries to come up with a responce.

Thanks for your input. Perhaps not everyone, but I have heard from a LOT of people the same exact stuff about all of you, and their (negative) expierences.

this is so true.  several of us (including me) on several occasion, tried to politely help you in your first days here in the site.  i remember saying and reading things like--hey, checkmate, give yourself some time here before you get so caught up in the forums, get to know the forums before you go all out,  calm down a bit let us get to know you first, etc.  you continued to barf all over the forums.  we reacted accordingly.

Finally, you have said something. Now Prawn is next on the list of who still haven't said anything (essentially pleading the fifth, one might say).

Yet look where you've steered the discussion....

I'm not as complicated as some of the others, I just like baiting you.

checkmateibeatu
ilikeflags, your first words to me were "you''re a re-tread eh", and then the stuff you were talking about.

Yet you're still not listening.

Can we talk about something else? This is getting a bit boring.

Did you see the article about the possible discovery of particles that travel faster than light?

Yes, in fact I saw it before it happened.

So I guess that article is faster than the speed of light.

Sealed

I'm surprised this hasn't been in the news much. I've just seen one mainstream article about it.
