Mutual Perpetual Check Positions?

Are there any positions where both sides are forced to keep making the same moves perpetual checking each other? A mutual repetition? White moves checking black, blacks only move ends up checking white, and whites only move then ends up checking black again the same way...etc? I think this is impossible right?

there could be such positions.. Imagine Rg8, h8, Qf8 and Rf1, h1, Qg1. Kings can start on h2, h7

How does this result in forced perpetual check back and forth for both sides?

Mutual repetitions do exist, but not ones that involve perpetual check:

These are already dead positions though (inevitable stalemate or repetition with no way for either side to ever be able to checkmate the other), but it seems it isn't possible to construct a position where 2 direct moves from each side are forced over and over.

Not what I meant. I meant where white would be forced to play qh5-qe8..etc, as his only legal move, after black makes his only legal move, like a cascade checking sequence.

You may have mutual perpetual check positions, but it requires unorthodox chess pieces. You could use two knightriders and two rooks together with the kings so that each king move is a check.
