So currently I’m at a rapid rating of 759 (not sure how I did that) and my middle game is bad because I blunder often and my open will then win if it’s not a computer. Is there anyway I can improve my middle game?

Sure! First of all, you need to have a database of strategies. Chess.com lessons under strategies helps with that. (castled king attacks, open king attacks, tactics, flank attacks, center control, bishop pairs, etc.). Through experience, you learn how and when to implement these strategies and a make less blunders. In my following comment I will post a game describing that.

My middle game is a nightmare and many have suggested tactics, tactics and more tactics. Until i see 1200, i'm not worrying about openings, just tactics.

at your level it's all about tactics you can get to 1200 knowing almost no opening theory if your tactics are solid. oh and did I mention the practice tactics?lol you get the point

lol no I'm saying though you can get to 1200 without knowing any specific openings. and yes those are important concepts to know

Avatar of Colingohmann98

I mean I did...also you can't take those rules as gospel, the opening as black involves no pawns in the center at first

Avatar of Colingohmann98

I'm not saying it's wrong at all. there's thousands of ways to play that's what makes chess fun. all I'm saying is that rules have exceptions

Even with advanced opening knowledge like to put a pawn in the center and not put your knight on the side,  you aren't getting close to 500 let alone 1200.  Sorry

put a pawn in the center  in the opening is not an advanced opening knowledge. it is a general opening principles that every beginner should know. These general opening principles won't take much time to know.

The opening for black involves no center pawns in the beginning but a not wrong opening involves e6 and d5 on the first and second moves? :/

there are openings in which you don't try to occupy immediately the center with pawns because you  will challenge it/try to destroy the center of your opponent later. for a beginner it is better to use 1... e5 as an answer to 1.e4 and 1...d5 against 1.d4.

Indeed. Play slower games.

just like with tactics, take your time at these lessons.

with tactics, study first the different tactical themes and then solve  puzzles later on.
